aggression

Just rearranged the living room again. Did it all by myself! LOL We had moved everything a couple months ago and i hated it because i couldn't really see... if someone was sitting on the opposite couch, i could talk to them but not see their face.

Now i'm just getting reacquainted and listening to some musik. Playing now... Nine Inch Nails -- nice aggressive stuff. hehe.

Not sure what's wrong with me today. I feel like complete poo mentally. Maybe it's post-partum kicking in late. I dunno.

another peek

at an upcoming August kit... teased from a prior entry :)

wow

been working in the store a wee bit today and looks like some really cool stuff coming in from CHA. I'm amped to spend. LOL... but must resist.

My stash is way too big right now. Ballpark figure - sitting in my scrap stash is at least $5,000 worth of goods... at least! [zoinks!] If i figure on kits alone, that's about $2,000 worth. Thankfully, most of my stash has been free either through publishing, sponsoring or work. I really don't "spend" all that much. Some months when lots of stuff coming out, i might spend $50, other months I spend nada. The biggest issue is the usage of said purchases. lmbo I think i am now feeling like I better get down to the dungeon and use some stuff up.

It's been a wild day but won't go into details now. ;)

zzzZzz

Seems like all i do on this blog is complain! I really don't mean for it to come across so negative and blahdeeblah.... but dang, seems like everything is just so horrid right now.

When I wake up in the morning, it'll be Friday, FINALLY. I don't know where the week goes most of the time but I do know I haven't had two seconds to myself this week where I wasn't thinking about doing something or needing to do something. See, already, i'm going into the weekend with expectations of getting this and that done. *insert scream here* I need a vacation. I am definitely taking a 4 day weekend here soon. I just can't keep going like this...

Anywhoooooooooooo.... work is the last thing i want to think about now. Rerun of Jay Leno is on right now and i'm actually halfway amused. hehhehe Baby just went to bed and i'm feeling like i should be in bed, too. But i don't wanna gooooooooo. Sleep is lost time. LOL But sleep is sooooooooo good, too.

Marissa was so cute tonight. Ran to the grocery store with her and she always lights right up. Guess she's got the shopping bug already. :) Then before bed, I was playing with her on the floor with a stuffed dog and she started doing her babbling but it was too cute because she was trying to do it loud and scared herself! I was pretty excited but i'll be kicking myself later when she won't pipe down like my other two motormouths. LOL

Speaking of motormouths, I think i've gone on long enough here. ;) Night!

ear candy

I used to really love listening to music but kind of fell out of it after having my first child. Just getting back into to it but i'm so old, i find myself listening to all of the stuff I used to love because it's what i know. One of the cd's i can't get enough of EVER is this one:
Underworld's Dubnobasswithmyheadman
If you like electronica, this is a must have. It's just timeless. I can't fathom anyone not falling in love with this. LOL! Listen to some tracks on Amazon or something... unless you hate electronic music, i guarantee you'll love it. The beats are hypnotizing.

Okay, yeah, i woke up from a little nap. I don't nap often but once a month or so, i'll just fall asleep for an hour or two. I hate falling asleep. it's like that much less time I have to do stuff. Is that a sign of the times or what? i love sleep but feel like it's a waste of time. lmbo

The kids are hungry again so i am going to go make something i guess. I skipped grocery shopping last weekend so i have nooooooooo idea what there is to eat here. hmmmmm... wish me luck.

Wednesdays...

This is my most dreaded day of the week. I don't know why that is, though. Maybe it's just because it's right smack dab in the middle. I think i might be coming down with something... feel pretty blah today. I am so stinkin' tired for no reason and i keep yawning.

It was like the 3rd Monday in a row at work. Yesterday was like Monday, too. LOL They had some kind of event at 10 am so got to help with that. At first i was totally not wanting to do it since i have so much work piling up but then after i got out there and got to spend an hour and a half in the sun, i was okay. hehe

Lawnmower is broken or just needs some minor repari -- and our yard looks so poor compared to everyone else's on the street... and we live on a looooooooooooong street. There's probaby 30 other houses just on this street alone. We don't get much grass growing time here but dang, when it grows, it grows. Pretty much grows like a foot tall in a week. LOL

Thought about my goals for weightloss today and decided that I'd like to make my short term goal to lose 5 more pounds by the end of July. Long term pounds to go is like 52 - 57 lbs. Egads! I'm just hoping by next summer, I can wear shorts again.

Not sure what i'm going to delve into tonight. I have so much to do but no energy. We shall see. ;)

tipping down

Well the weight loss is back on track. Weighed in today for the Biggest Loser we're doing at work and I've lost 7 lbs total so far. Yay! I had kind of bounced up a little the 2 weigh ins prior. Now, if i can just continue to lose a couple pounds a week without gaining any, i'll someday get where i want to be!!! LOL

I'm so whooped today i can't even bring myself to make dinner. I need to really start eating more during the day so i have energy.... breakfast i think would be a good idea. Even if it's just a piece of toast!

Whelp... not much exciting going on around here. Better go clean the house up some now. Bleh!

who needs to sleep?

she's just going to wake up in half an hour anyway! ;-) Couldn't help myself... had to download the pics from my camera before bed.

circles

Ever feel like you spent all day chasing your tail? That was me today. I was at work for five hours before I actually started accomplishing anything... at least that's what it seemed like at the time. Ugh!

It's getting late but I really wanted to get some photos I took the other day onto my laptop to share... maybe tomorrow evening. I also wanted to do some scrapping but didn't make it down to ye ol' dungeon. :) Another time.

Challenge 2 - FABULOUS 5 Blog & Layout Challenge

#2 Ask your kids (or friends, significant other, etc.) to describe you in 5 words

Oh this was a tough one! The kids are still pretty limited in descriptive words so I had to help them out a little bit so I wouldn't end up with a list like "good at doing this, good at doing that..." LOL! And okay... they're not just one-word descriptives either... but 4 and 7 years old! You know how it goes!

Anywho- here's what they said about me... AND they wanted to describe dad, too!

Describe MomDescribe Dad
Orion says:* nice
* pretty
* good cook
* good driver
* great
* hardworking
* hilarious
* drawer
* tall
* good driver
Gia says:* good scrapbooker
* hardworking
* beautiful
* sounds like a girl
* a good mom
* good car-washer
* funny & silly like a kid
* good at painting

    boards (for signs)
* good-looking
* good helper

Then I notice something...
"Wait a second - you both say Dad is funny - how come nobody thinks i'm funny!?"
"Oh yeah, you're funny too, Mom!" So then my lovely Gia reels off with a bunch of different stories about "that one time, when..." LOL! Apparently, my humor (or lack therof) does not leave a lasting impression. ;-)

i got nothing...

... absolutely nothing... done today. LOL I did manage to give this blog a fresh new look thanks to blogskins.com. I used a template and tweaked it slightly for personalization. Someday i'll sit down and make something homemade from me. Doesn't seem so difficult now that i've messed with this one. :)

Okay so i did manage to go to Sam's Club today to get some things. Then took the kidd-o's to mcdonald's to play in the playland. weeee! what a boring day. Took a few photos of the kids... baby mostly.

Today she really laughed. She has been smiling for quite a while (with her big ol' dimple and half turned up mouth) but she really is making an effort to laugh out loud. I'm also noticing that she has quieted down in the "talking" department. A few weeks ago she was babbling quite a bit but it's gotten hard to get her to goo-goo and ga-ga the past week. She just stares at me and smiles.

She's totally ready for an exersaucer thingie but Wally World didn't have the one I want so i will have to check a few other places. We put her in the johnny jumperoo thingamahickie and she her mood went off the chart LOL... one minute laughing, another minute crying. I think she's still a bit scared to be ungrounded.

Listen to me -- all bragging about the baby. Thought i was past all this with 2 other kids under the belt but i guess it's inevitable when you have this new life to watch in complete amazement.

Late. I need to get my head together before bed. toss more laundry through the cycle. :P

Your Brain's Pattern
Your mind is a firestorm - full of intensity and drama.Your thoughts may seem scattered to you most of the time...But they often seem strong and passionate to those around you.You are a natural influencer. The thoughts you share are very powerful and persuading.
What Pattern Is Your Brain?

Well, well, well...

I finally polished off another partial kit tonight. Just like 6 cards to get rid of it (lots of little scrappies and no bigger sheets of paper so I couldn't do a layout)... felt good. I can finally say I only have 200 kits (as long as i don't count the OD's separate... LOL. If I did, that'd be 261.

I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY need to take some photos tomorrow. I have lots of motivation to scrap these days but i'm having a hard time getting motivated with the photos I have. I have plenty that still need to be scrapped but they just aren't what I feel like scrapping right now. Right now i want current photos! is that weird? i'm living in the here and now and don't feel like thinking back.

It's 2 am... raining out still. The kids want to go to Pioneer Park (aka Alaskaland) today. It was renamed like 5 years ago but it will always be Alaskaland to me. I believe that's what it's been called for well over 20 years. When I moved up here in 1981, that's what it was called, anyway. Nothing super special there but the kids like it. It's pretty much just a park. At one point, I think they may have tried to make it into more but have never succeeded. There are a few areas for kids to play (jungle gym, swings, slides, etc.), volleyball net, horseshoe pits, lots of whatchamacallits... those gazebo things for bbq's and picnics, miniature golf, and a carousel. There are a couple buildings... the Civic Center (where we had our wedding reception) that has an art gallery and a theater. There's also the church we got married in (really old dinky church that is no longer used for services). There's an area that is kind of built like the old western towns... little shops selling ice cream, Alaskan crafts, that type of stuff. Alaskaland

I can't believe the kids are still up right now. They fell asleep this evening and slept for like 3 hours so now they're wired. I am getting ready to send them off to bed though. Gonna hit the hay myself so i'm not all lazy tomorrow. hehe.

bah

it's almost 10 pm and i haven't gotten much of anything done today. Didn't actually leave the house until 1 - ish and got home around 5. Had to go to Walmart to pick up diapers and of course sidetracked myself into spending $83 on god knows what. Am i the only one that does that? It's why i avoid shopping these days. i'm such an impulse shopper. *sigh* Came home and bbq'ed some ribs and i think that's the first thing i've eaten since yesterday... needless to say, it was yummy. We're out of dr. pepper right now and i'm having withdrawals. This Dasani ain't cutting it! it's so clear and smooth... there's no burn in my esophagus when i drink it! lol

No babysitter tonight means to extreme fighting match to go to. boo hoo! i was kind of looking forward to seeing some people smack each other around. ;-P

I should get my rear down to the scraproom and work on some fun stuff since my kit assignment is done for August but not sure what project to start on. hmmmm. I think i'm getting the other assignment for August next week as i got a shipping notification. Can't wait! Not sure why... as I have 200 kits here to choose from right here. lmbo

Ok, five more minutes on the laptop and then i'm going... i swear.

Quiet Saturday Morning

Yup... i was actually awake before 9 am. Usually am but the past few weekends i haven't been able to wake up until 9:30 or 10. hehe. Going to get an early start on my day and go to the store since we're out of formula and diapers... oh joy! :) Might stop off at Old Navy... I feel like I have nothing to wear! I need some new shirts at least. Maybe I'll find something that ISN'T a v-neck perfect fit tee. LOL, i'm so boring.

Kurt just got home from work a few minutes ago and looks like he had a rough night. Poor guy. I think he just might hate his work as much as I hate mine. Why do we have to work? ;-)

Looks like it's going to be a rainy weekend. Bleh. I love rain but why's it gotta be all sunny during the week and rain on my weekend? I'm full of rhetorical questions today. Okay, will write more later. Getting in the shower to wash off all my negativity. LOL

FABULOUS 5 Blog & Layout Challenge Annette is hosting on ScrapAddict! I'm way behind here already.

Challenge 1
List your 5 favorite things about yourself. These can be physical or character traits. Anything that you like about yourself.

Hmmm....
5. My eyes (after i've had the brows done at the local brow chop shop)
4. How laid back i am. I'm extremely low key... drama free... non-confrontational.
3. My skiLLz... yeah i got mad skiLLz. LOL! Not really great skills but ones that give me satisfaction.
2. My morals. I am by far perfect but I am proud of my morals... some were slipped in throughout growing up and others I created through experience. I am not a religious person but i do believe in morals.
1. My individuality. I have grown in many different directions and i can say with conviction --- i am who i am, not a leader but not a follower. :)

a little August peek

shhhh... don't tell on me. ;-)

Gahhh...

what a long Thursday. I'm so glad to finally be home. The house is pretty quiet now so i'm catching up here really quick in between adding some new products to the store.

Insurance company left a message on the machine today about the uhhh... accident I had last weekend. Did i mention that? LOL... yeah, i'm keeping my lips sealed. ;-)

Ran out to the store at lunchtime and bought a big ol' thing of strawberries. They looked so red and yummy. I might be snacking on those later tonight if i don't fall asleep before i think about them again. heheh

Nothing new going on here. Might go to the extreme fighting thing this Saturday but not sure... depends on how much it'll sink me in the financial hole probably. We're not exactly riding high on the financial wave right now. LOL! Still haven't made it out to the Pole to check out Ty and Extreme Makeover. I really should go just to seeeeeeeeeee... but i doubt i'd have enough gonads to do it.

Finally have made time lately to do scrapping but feel totally out of it. I suck!

I need to take more photos. Seems like I can never get the kids all clean at once or the baby in a good mood (or awake) at the same time the other two are clean. I need some kind of miracle to happen here. LOL

Did a layout a few nights ago and wanted to remember the journaling so I'm posting it here for posterity.

Just some things I love about being Gia's mom.
10. Because you draw me pictures all day long... and the pictures drawn of me, make me look kind of thin (with stick-like legs, even!).
9. Because you made me fall in love with Care Bears & Hello Kitty all over again.
8. Because you think you're cool when you dress like me. That won't last long...
7. Because you are smart and funny... and genetics has to play into it a little bit, right?
6. Because you say "Mommy" like fifty-bajillion times a day. Even when I'm talking to you for an extended period of time, you begin every sentence with, "Mommy..."
5. Because when I look at you, I see a little bit me and a little bit Daddy.
4. Because you hug so sincerely... you squeeze me really tight... and you kiss me out of the blue.
3. Because I know you do everything with good intentions. It may seem, at first, like getting that glitter all over the house was an intentional act of defiance... but then I later found the glittery "I love you, Mommy" card you made for me.
2. Because you've said, "You're the best mommy in the whole world!" to me a few times... and I actually almost really felt like it might be true... okay, maybe I'm just one-of-the-best.
1. Because you're you.

And, haven't done a matching layout for Orion but so I don't lose the journaling, I am posting it here.
10. Because you're always right at my heels to just hang out. That makes me feel good. I know in a few years, you'll be running away as fast as you can.
9. Because you are always such a good helper. You help me bring groceries in from the car,
fetch me things like diapers and Dr. Peppers, feed the dog, take out trash, and lots of other
stuff to help out such a ragged old mom.
8. Because you are so smart (and even smarter than me sometimes – eh, Mr. Smartypants?)
7. Because you have the funniest laugh. I love it.
6. Because you are my first-born and taught me so much about being a mom.
5. Because you are such a good cook. I am lucky that you actually like making peanut butter &
jelly sandwiches or corndogs. It's a HUGE help to me on busy days.
4. Because you provide me with a good excuse to watch cartoons like Peanuts, the Simpsons and Teen Titans. (You think I'm working on my laptop and not watching, huh?)
3. Because I know you are very capable and I don't have to worry about you too much... even though I know I sometimes treat you like you're still little. I can't help it. J
2. Because you make me feel appreciated when you get excited over the littlest details.
1. Because you're you.
