layouts put IN scrapbooks

Whelp... I'm pooped! It's been a long day.

Started out by taking the rental car back to the airport. We found out Friday that the other insurance agency is sending our bank a check for $19,400 for the totalled Durango. Thank god. It's close to the pay off. We were worried because high blue book was like $18,000 but there was only 17,000 miles on ours which made the value go up quite a bit for some reason.

We already have the Grand Am which we'll both drive to work. It's nice when we work opposite shifts. We also have a '76 Chevy truck that we don't drive. It's in good condition but was meant to be more of a hobby truck than a driving vehicle. All we have to do is get it registered again... oh, and charge the battery since it's been sitting outside all winter. LOL! We thought about selling it but probably would only be able to get $2000 - $3000 for it. Kurt will drive it just to pick Gia up from school for the next few months and maybe if we're both needing a car at the same time which is rare.

We were looking at getting a brand new Dodge Avenger. Saw one on the lot and fell in love because of all the gadgets. heheee... AWD, heated leather seats, dvd player in the back and mp3 player and a bunch of techie hands free and so forth. It had sweet graphics already on it and awesome rims. Ahhh well. It wasn't the ideal color anyway. It was white with black graphics and I would've rather had it vice versa anyway. Not much of a white car kind of person. Typical us to drool over the looks and gadgets in a vehicle. One of the other reasons we liked this is because it's a car. Gas prices are outrageous and Kurt was putting $80 tanks of gas into the Durango. He doesn't really like cars but I know he's sick of all the gas. It's $3.30 a gallon right now. We'll probably go to buy right before winter when we'll need an extra reliable rig. Not sure it will be an Avenger... maybe a Charger... depends on cost and options.

After we dropped the rental car off, we went out to lunch at Chili's. Yum, I could eat there at least once a week but we don't go too often because it's usually too busy and he hates the wait.

Got home and spent about 3 hours working on my scrapbooks. Not layouts but PUTTING them in the damn scrapbooks. LOL! I had layouts I made 3 years ago just sitting out. Thankfully, I must have spent some time a year or so ago putting the completed layouts in some kind of chronological order so they got placed easy. The hard part was taking those post bound albums apart. And the crappy part was that I added 2 albums and still couldn't get them all in there. I thought I had more post extenders for the old post bound albums but couldn't find them. I will have to go out tomorrow to get more so I can fit the rest into albums. The two new albums I started using are my AC D-Ring albums and those are sooooooooo much easier to work with. Gotta also get some page protectors for those because I only had 20 extras protectors. I need to buy a few more of the AC D-Ring and I should be set for awhile. Anywho... the bulk of the project is done and I just gotta try to keep up on it.

Spent the evening hanging out with the family. Kurt and I played some poker. LOL... we were watching a tournament and got itchy to play. He went to work a bit ago and I'm still watching poker. hehe. The kids are still up and are making all kinds of noise. I need to get them off to bed though because spring break is just about over. Thank heavens.

Ok, I'm done with my jibber jabbering for the night. Hope everyone enjoys the remainder of the weekend! I know I will. :)

Fun night

Just got back from a fun night out with my girls. Thankfully, I was able to keep my drinking in check. I only had two beers and drank most of the birthday girl's malibu. :) I think she had a pretty good time and that was the whole point.

The house is quiet now because the kids are over at grandma's. I'm not really tired yet... clock says its 3:30 but since daylight savings, it only feels like 2:30 if that.

We found out on Friday that the Durango is definitely totalled. Now it's time to start car shopping. I am trying to convince Kurt that we can do fine with a car and don't need an SUV or big hemi truck. I think we might go look at some Chargers or something tomorrow. Just tired of pumping $80 in gas every week or so. My Grand Am only takes $30 to fill and lasts just as long.

Not much to write about really. I'm getting spring fever. It has been like in the 40's during the day and I have ditched my big ol' Columbia jacket for a sweatshirt. Funny thing is that I have been sweating still. LOL... but I need a sweatshirt because it's not quite warm enough to walk around in a t-shirt.

Hope to get to the Ice Art Championships tomorrow. It'd be a great time to go before they all melt. They probably won't melt quite yet as I think they've only been up for a few weeks but one year we went too late and most of them were a bit melted. They're still pretty but I want to see the sculptures in all their glory.

Whelp... here's to the last day of the weekend!
