I've been tagged!

Argh! I'm it! Melanie tagged me!

These are the rules.... each player starts with 7 random facts about themselves on their Blog. People who are tagged need to blog 7 facts about themselves and post the rules as well. At the end of their blog list 7 people you are tagging. Let them know that they are tagged by leaving them a comment. So, time for my 7 random facts:

1. I have a milk aversion. I can only drink it from a glass and it must be ice cold. I normally don't mind sharing drinks with people (family/friends) but if anyone puts their lips near my glass of milk, I can no longer drink it. Oh, and I have to eat something with it. I can't stomach it without food.

2. I won the spelling bee in 4th grade at my elementary school. I was so proud of the fact that I beat the 5th and 6th graders, too. :)

3. My hay fever seems to diminish in symptoms as I get older. Hallelujiah!

4. My favorite liquor is tequila. Margaritas are good!

5. I have never swam in an ocean.

6. I hate vacuuming.

7. I hate bellybuttons. Nobody can touch mine or even look at it. There's nothing wrong with it but it makes me extremely ill and queasy thinking about it. LOL! It's not just mine, though... it makes me feel queasy when I see other people's bellybuttons, too. I must have had some kind of bellybutton trauma when I was a baby because I have no idea why I feel so ill thinking about them.

I will be tagging:
Laura, Anita, Kim, Annette, Bonni, Carolyn, and Kris.

Brian, the trapped bird.

Boy! A fun filled day and it's barely begun. I am headed out to work late because I was worried about Marissa this morning. She has been running a fever on and off since the end of last week. I was thinking I'd take her to the doctor this morning to see what is going on... just a fever on and off, no sniffles or cough so that is what worried me. She has rashes on her body and face but they're mild and she tends to get them when she's sick. Well, she looked pretty sick when I got her up this morning and then was in such a grand mood that I thought she was feeling better. She is like that, though... acts fine one minute and then gets all cry-ish and clingy the next. So I decided to see how she would do over the next hour. I just don't know. She is acting less clingy but she is still fussy and sleepy. Her appetite is usually great but she has been eating less. Not too much refusal to eat but it is definitely less than usual. I've never seen her refuse a cookie and she did turn her head the other way yesterday. LOL! She's napping now and I think I'll hold off and see if she can beat this herself. I'm not used to babies that act like this when they're sick. You know how usually they are inconsolable and cry a lot? She doesn't do that. She just looks a little bit miserable, plays some, but then gets seriously clingy and wants me to rock her and baby her. Maybe it's just a combination of being sick and that whole one-year old seperation thing. *sigh*

Then, during all this, we notice that there was a bird flying around in our fireplace!!! It must have came down the chimney. Gia said Santa brought it. lmbo! We spent some time just watching it try to fly around and wondering how to get it out. We have glass doors that cover the fireplace. I tried cracking the door open and getting it to fly into a bag but it just stood there. Then when I'd close the door, it would finally flit around again. Kurt ended up getting a garbage bag and grabbed it in there and let it outside. What a weird morning... funny note: Gia named the bird... Brian. LOL, I don't even know where she came up with that because we don't know any Brian's. Anyway, as Dad let the bird outside and it flew away, Gia says, "Bye, Brian!" rofl... what a turd. I'm just glad it was a little finch-like bird and not a big ol' raven or a squirrel!

Ok, well I just had to post the adventures of the morning. I can't wait to see what the rest of the day will bring. :)

wah wah wah

Ooooo ----- my tummy is aching tonight! I decided to take Orion and Gia bowling as a surprise tonight after work and ended up with a stomach ache from the bowling alley food! Serves me right! LOL! They hadn't had dinner and it was like 8:00 so we go up to the snack bar and i must have cheddar on the brain because I proceeded to order nachos, pretzel with cheese, and cheese fries! Not once thinking, "Geez, Mom... could we pump some more fat in your derierre?" LOL! Needless to say, the cheese did not do me right. I'm a hurtin'!

Bowling was still fun until the last 2 frames of the 3rd game! I haven't been in ages because nobody I know likes bowling... plus the bowling place is the only one in town (except for the one on post) so the league players hog it up and everytime I have called to ask if there was open bowling, there wasn't. Luckily tonight there was. We started out bowling the good ol' fashioned way. I had a 10 lb ball which was way too light so I switched to a 13 that was in the ball return and it was a smidge too heavy after one game. Ended up with a 12 lb. which was just right. The kids had the lightest balls - 6 pounders. Their first frame went well and each of them got like 5 or 6 pins down but then it went downhill (gutter after gutter) and Orion started whining about how he hated bowling. LOL! I swear this kid hates everything. Gia, surprisingly kept an upbeat attitude and was high fiving me and wishing me luck on my turns. She makes the same face as I do when she misses the pins. It was funny. After a good part of the first game, I went and asked for a ramp for the kids. Orion then started to have a good time when he could hit some pins. Man, what a spoiled sport. Gia didn't use the ramp every time like he did... she wanted to bowl like Mommy. :) I showed her how to put the ball under and then roll and she was pretty darn good if she could get it straight!

Anywho, I had a craptastic day at work. I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday but I volunteered some overtime on Sunday so I'm not going to get a full weekend. Bummer!

Done done done!

I love feeling like I've accomplished stuff. It ain't been happening at work but at home! Imagine that! LOL! Ok - Sunday I managed to get a bunch of cleaning done. Monday, I reorganized some of my scrapping stuff and finally got my scanner software driver downloaded to my laptop so I can really, really officially retire my dinosaur computer (i've said this many times but I need to because it makes some super funkerific noises these days - hard drive going to bite the dust anyday). Then, tonight I did some scrapping and some other junk I can't even remember at the moment.... uhhh... LOL something anyway. Doesn't sound like much I know -- but it did wonders for my mental state. :-P

Kurt and I watched a really good movie this evening, too! Wow, gory but good! I'm not usually into Mel Gibson flicks but if you haven't seen it, rent APOCALYPTO!

Ok, well I don't really feel like writing a bunch cuz I'm tired and i'm already starting to make no sense. I do want to catch up here on the scrapbook thing... some of my recent layouts below. :)
