Saturday Stuff

Today has been long and good. I took the kids to the fair again. We went with my best friend. I had some ride tickets left over from last weekend and couldn't let them go to waste. I didn't bring my camera this time but I will share some photos below from last weekend.

Afterward, we went to the mall for window shopping. My mom called and asked me to come pick the baby up but I had to stop at Walmart to grab some diapers and try to fill in some gaps for the school supply list. I can't believe school is starting in like 10 days and I haven't bought any school clothes. :( I have a shopping cart filled online but I want to take the kids to the store before I place the order because I need to make sure I'm buying the right size. They grow too dang fast. Maybe tomorrow I will get something productive done.

On another note, I received a disturbing letter today. It kind of made me a bit sad. Perceptions - what is real and what is not, is based on perception and sometimes it's just somewhere in the middle of everything. Ah well. I can only shake my head because it's just the type of triviality and paranoia that makes me feel sad for those who choose to perpetuate it. Most people that know me know I'm a non-confrontational person so I won't say anymore. But really, life shouldn't be this complicated. We are all here for a reason and I can guarantee most of us aren't out for blood (I save that for when the kids don't do the stuff on their chore list LOL!) It's just a shame I guess is what I mean - most of all, I want to say that judgement really should be saved for situations *not* people. And I guess it's probably just human nature as I'm sure we've all done it. Finally, the guilty-by-association mentality is truly disappointing on all counts. None of it makes sense to me. But I digress, it's not up to me and I accept that whether or not I agree with it and of course, I apologize if time was wasted on an issue that need not have much weight applied. Can take the hint. :) Ok, that's really all I'm going to say about that, truly. Moving on.

The kids are now sitting around watching Noggin and I'm getting ready to plug away at more data for work. It's still cold and rainy. My house is a wreck and I am fighting off a headache. :o)

Here are the photos I wanted to share. The first ones are of the kids last weekend at the fair and the last are of the kids playing at a friends house a few weeks ago. :)

Sunday

I really miss scrapping lately. I wish I had the energy to scrap for myself but lately, I've just resorted to living vicariously through others. LOL

Today is Sunday and I just got caught up reading up on all the great blogs I read. I think we are going to the state fair today. And I have more work to do for work but I can probably do it from home. They gave me access to a remote desktop and it's a little slower than real time but not too bad. Nothing like working from my couch... just wish I could work from it 9 to 5, M-F instead of working at work and then coming home for more work. LOL

I got served with Jury Duty notice yesterday. I get to serve in October. They pool names from the permanent fund dividend list but strangely, I have been called like 4 times in my adult life and Kurt has never been called to jury at all! Hmph! Ahh well, it'll be something new to do if I get called to serve. :) Plus, I'll get out of work. rofl

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
